Stick War: Legacy is a real-time strategy game where you command stick figure armies in tactical combat across the world of Inamorta. You control units individually or in organized formations to achieve primary objectives: destroying enemy statues and capturing territories. The core gameplay loop revolves around mining gold to fund unit production and reinforcement, creating a continuous cycle of resource management and military expansion.

Combat features five unit types—Sword, Spear, Archer, Mage, and Giant—each serving distinct tactical roles on the battlefield. Interactions provide immediate visual feedback, with arrows embedding visibly into targets and damage animations reflecting the force of each impact. The Archidon bow aiming system stands out as a precision mechanic, requiring directional input to control arrow trajectories and contrasting with the more direct unit control elsewhere. Unit formations enable organized command of your forces, rewarding strategic positioning alongside real-time tactical execution.

Missions Mode serves as the primary campaign progression, with new levels released every Friday for ongoing content updates. The mode uses a Saga-style map structure offering multiple rewards, with completion across three difficulty levels—Normal, Hard, and Insane—each awarding Crown achievements. Beyond the main sequence, Classic Campaign includes six bonus levels for extended engagement. Tournament Mode positions your forces against AI challengers in competitive scenarios, culminating in the Crown of Inamorta as the ultimate reward.

Endless Deads shifts the focus toward survival gameplay, placing you against waves of zombie enemies with no defined endpoint—a mode for players seeking extended sessions. The game also offers five distinct variants with unique mechanics: Win before Sunset, Triple Barricaded Gold, Deathmatch, Forward Statue, and versus Mini Bosses, each introducing different tactical requirements and win conditions. This variety keeps individual replays mechanically distinct rather than repetitive.

Progression systems support long-term engagement through unlockable character skins, allowing visual customization of your units. Weapons and armor pieces acquired throughout play carry unique perks affecting unit performance and combat effectiveness. Crowns earned from difficulty completions serve as both achievement markers and progression tokens across the available content.

Your Order nation faces four opposing factions: the Archidons, Swordwrath, Magikill, and Speartons. This factional structure informs unit design and strategic variety, with each faction requiring different combat approaches and tactical configurations. The faction design establishes thematic consistency across all campaign modes and multiplayer scenarios.

Originally developed as a web-based strategy game, it has since expanded to mobile platforms. The adaptation preserves the core real-time decision-making that defines the original—managing formation tactics, gold allocation, and unit composition—while translating controls to touchscreen input for mobile devices. The mobile version sustains the complexity of strategic gameplay without requiring traditional input peripherals.
